First of the new millennium

When Luis Garcia, all of 20 years old, homers for the Washington Nationals in their 7-6 loss four years ago tonight at Atlanta, he becomes the first player born in the 21st century to homer in a major league game.

The second-inning homer off Touki Toussaint comes in only the third major league game for Garcia, whose moment was captured by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

No worries, though, for the Braves, who rally for four runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Nationals 7-6.
