From BP pitcher to general manager

A couple of years after graduating from Amherst College, this former Division III All-American first baseman is working in the Montreal Expos' minor league department.

Occasionally on his visits to Harrisburg’s historic City Island, he throws batting practice to the vaunted 1993 Senators of the Class AA Eastern League.

Eventually, he moves on from the Expos to work for the Cleveland Indians before landing in Pittsburgh, where 17 years ago today this lefty – Neal Huntington – becomes the Pirates' general manager.
