Like father, like son
Moises Alou, the immensely talented if oft-injured All-Star outfielder, sets a major league record 31 years ago today as he hits two homers off Tim Worrell in the Montreal Expos’ 6-1 victory over San Diego – giving him six home runs on his last six hits.
The six homers come in a span of four games during the 1993 season with all six coming in home games at Olympic Stadium.
Exactly 27 years earlier in 1966, Alou’s father – three-time National League All-Star outfielder Felipe Alou – hits a pair of home runs off Sandy Koufax as the Atlanta Braves beat Koufax and the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2.
