Remembering the voice

The Class AA Harrisburg Senators six years ago today dedicate their stadium control room atop the press box to the memory of longtime public address announcer Richard Andree, better known to most as Chris Andree, Dickie or, simply, Andree.

Andree, the preeminent radio personality in the Harrisburg area who passes away in the summer of 2018, is a fixture on City Island from 1998-2017.

For those 20 seasons, he fills the press box with conversation, humor and professionalism.

He also is a beloved goofball who loves riding motorcycles, shooting pool, taking spin classes and, of course, winning at Texas hold ’em.

Now, Andree’s smiling face always adorns the outside the City Island's control room and press box.

For sure, he always will be missed inside of them.
