In one of the stranger places to receive such news, Harrisburg Senators outfielder Kevin Northrup has his batting practice interrupted 28 years ago today in Reading by manager Pat Kelly, who tells Northrup he has just been traded by the parent Montreal Expos from their Class AA team to the Oakland Athletics for pitcher Dave Leiper.
